1. Introduction
Welcome to Bengal Hall. By booking our venue, catering, or using our website, you agree to comply with the following Terms & Conditions. These terms apply to all event bookings, catering services, and hall hire agreements.
Bengal Hall is a premium Banquet Hall in South Shields, offering event space and halal catering services.
2. Booking & Payment Policy
2.1 Reservation
A booking is confirmed only after receiving a non-refundable deposit.
The remaining balance must be paid at least 7 days before the event date.
We reserve the right to cancel bookings if full payment is not received on time.
2.2 Deposit
Deposit amount will be confirmed during booking.
Deposits are non-refundable but may be transferable (subject to availability and management approval).
2.3 Additional Charges
Additional charges may apply for:
Extended hours
Extra guests beyond agreed capacity
Damage to property
Additional cleaning requirements
3. Hall Usage Rules
Guest Capacity
Grand Hall (Second Floor): Maximum 100 guests
Classic Hall (Ground Floor): Maximum 60 guests
Exceeding guest limits may result in cancellation without refund.
Event Timing
Events must strictly follow the selected time slot:
Morning: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Evening: 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Full Day: 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM
Overtime use may incur additional hourly charges.
4. Catering & Food Policy
Bengal Hall offers halal catering services.
Self-Catering is available with a £200 add-on fee.
Outside catering is only permitted with prior written approval.
All food served must comply with UK food safety regulations.
5. Damage & Liability
The client is responsible for any damage caused by guests during the event.
Repair or replacement costs will be charged accordingly.
Bengal Hall is not responsible for loss or theft of personal belongings.
6. Parking Policy
Nearby parking is available:
Morning slot: 1p per minute
Evening slot: Free after 5:30 PM
Parking availability is subject to local regulations.
7. Cancellation Policy
Deposits are non-refundable.
Cancellation within 7 days of event may result in full charge.
Date changes are subject to availability.
8. Health & Safety
All guests must comply with UK safety regulations.
No illegal substances, weapons, or hazardous materials are allowed on the premises.
9. Force Majeure
Bengal Hall is not liable for cancellations due to circumstances beyond control, including natural disasters, government restrictions, or emergencies.
